Arrival and Departure
Check-In from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm
We have availability to store your luggage if your arrival in the city is before 3:00 pm.
Arrival after 5 pm is only available with prior authorization; you can contact us one day before your arrival or reply to the message you will receive on the day of your arrival at 9 am PST welcoming you.
We ask that you please vacate your room by 11:00 am (11:00) on the morning of departure. Leave your key at the entrance table upon exit.
Parking Douglas and Cambie:
We have 6 spots next to the Douglas Guest House (or underneath the modern pink building next door, at 464 West 13th Ave) and one spot directly in front of Cambie Lodge. If you can’t find an available parking spot, you will find a map on the front door, where we will show you where a street parking is, as there is no street parking available in front of the house. Please note that parking is free; it is limited to availability. And we don’t reserve parking places.
We don’t have a parking space available, but you can park on the street; please check the city signs; some restrictions apply.
We offer an internet connection as a complimentary service; we do not charge any extra fee. For this reason, we are not responsible for temporary bad connections or problems due to the internet provider.
Complete room cleaning is only done after guests check out, and cleaning during stay is done only upon request within 24 hrs. In advance. For fresh towels, garbage removal, or additional bathroom items, you need to contact the reservations team; they will take care of sending it to the room. Service hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Quiet time from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am
Please keep noise to a minimum.
The rooms are limited to registered occupants
Our property is smoke-free; Per Vancouver City law, smokers must be at least 7 meters away from the entire property.
The recording is on outside the house and in the common areas.
Change of Room
If a booking is made for a specific room and the room reserved is required to meet specific guest needs, or it is unusable due to circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to transfer the booking to an alternative room of similar quality.
Damage and Breakages
Please take care of our home. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur, especially if you accidentally spill something – it’s much easier to clean if we know what it is and act quickly. We do not normally charge for breakages, but we reserve the right to charge for repair or making good if the damage is significant.
You have access to the building and your room 24 hours a day throughout your stay using a set of keys given to you when you register on arrival. You have full responsibility for these keys for the duration of your stay. Lost keys will be charged at CAD $25.00 per key.

We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss, or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees whilst acting in the course of their employment.
We keep the lost property only for one month, we are happy to return items that have been left following departure. However, there will be a charge for the total cost of postage and packaging.
Use of the kitchen
Guests are not allowed to use the kitchen.
Our house does not allow pets; send us your dog certification if you need a service dog. We must have it at least 24 hours before arrival.
